This Years Ride Benefits F&I Rick “Sherpa” Brown
Saturday, Feb. 21st, Firefighter, Rick “Sherpa” Brown was involved in a serious motorcycle accident. His serious injuries sustained were skull fractures and a brain bleed. He is currently in ICU at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL. The swelling has stopped and gone down, the bleeding has stopped. Rick continues to show small signs of improvement. The neurologist has stated that he sees many positive signs in his motor functions. He is responding to some verbal commands and questions by squeezing hands and nodding his head. However, he is not out of the woods yet. Rick is still on the ventilator, and the docs are waiting until he settles down a little more before attempting to remove the tube. At this point, he is only receiving supportive care in ICU while the brain injury begins to heal...which can be a long period of time. This is a rocky road with it’s setbacks and leaps forward. Rick is the sole bread winner in the house, and we are raising monies for his wife, Lauren, and their 2 children during recovery. Your time, donations and prayers are greatly appreciated.
