Myrtle Beach Bike Week has been held since 1940, and draws an ever increasing number of bikers, as well as non-bikers just out to watch the fun. The weather in Myrtle Beach does help, as typically very mild for a early to mid-May event. One of the 'Big Four', the Myrtle Beach Bike Week draws an estimated crowd of 300,000.
Myrtle Beach seems to draw motorcycles of all kinds throughout the year, with at least three events large enough to meet the standards of this site. And why not? Myrtle Beach has much to offer, even outside the realm of the motorcycle. Miles of pristine beaches, numerous tourist attractions right in the heart of the city, including four attractions from Ripley, and friendly southern folks welcoming the crowd.
Typical Events at Myrtle Beach Bike Week
Myrtle Beach Bike Week includes numerous events every year. As one of the 'Big Four', some of the best custom motorcycle builders, vendors, and manufacturers attend. A partial list of events is provided here, but I highly recommend going to the official website, listed below, to get a detailed listing as well as a schedule.
- Motocross racing
- Several custom motorcycle shows
- Poker Runs
- Live music throughout the event, at numerous locations
- Vendors - for about anything a biker would want
